"Romantic portraits should be custom hand-crafted work of art, capable of being hung next to other objects of art in the finest homes. It should reveal something about the person or persons being photographed through the surroundings. Though many photographers reserve the term romantic portraiture only for intimate portraits, I expand the definition to include an image that has emotion, that shows love and beauty and is pleasant to look at. A successful romantic portrait will demonstrate good design, natural posing, color harmony and good expression."
